Almost a week after posting my Sedona Lace review, I was contacted by Jason – Sedona Lace’s owner. He read my review and wanted to know how he could help, and what they could do to improve in the future… We emailed back and forth and I will start by saying Jason was charming and very nice.. He replied quickly, and he spoke like a “normal person” and not at all like you’d imagine a business/company owner would; when I say that, I mean he didn’t seem cocky or ‘higher up’ than my meager beauty blog.. He really cared about my opinion and offered to send replacements of any brushes I had trouble with. I was extremely impressed by this, considering how busy he is.. How many company owners ever take the time to really find out how people view their products, let alone read blog post/reviews?… Not many these days.
I received the brushes in less than a week – and I am pleased to say these are MUCH better than the others. Sedona Lace’s brushes are handmade so each one isn’t exactly the same. They have natural haired brushes as well as synthetic. Any brushes with natural hairs will shed at times, that’s just the way it goes.. So keep that in mind if you do purchase the Vortex Set or any other natural brushes.

The packaging was very cute, just like when the Vortex Collection was sent to me, except this time it was in a purplish bag (was in a black one previously).. Love it!
With this set, a nice booklet comes with it listing every brush and how you can use them.
The brushes that were sent are: the FB 05, EB 09, the EB 17, and the EB 21 – along with the 4 shadow palette and travel EB 13.

With my original set, the only brush I had a major problem with shedding is the Dome Contour FB 05 – which is a brush made of natural hair. Again, I expected some shedding but this one shed just way too much. This new one is a lot better, it didn’t even shed during the first washing! I love this brush and use it every day I contour. I’m so excited to have this 🙂

Thanks for visiting Denise! 🙂
That is so amazing to me! Other business owners could take a lesson from him. I am so happy to hear that your replacement brushes were great! I still use the cheapy brushes from Elf and Target but when I am ready to invest in some, I will for sure get them from Sedona Lace. I’ll probably have to ask you some more questions first when the time is right. Thanks so much for the update, Marie! 🙂
Absolutely, more companies need to appreciate their customers and LISTEN! 🙂
Elf & Target has great brushes though! But Sedona Lace is a great option on the next level. They are more expensive than drugstore brushes but definitely still affordable, and when they have deals & sales, you can get quite a bit off.
The Midnight Lace sets have gotten really great reviews, the pink and black ones on the site. They are synthetic and I’ve heard nothing but great things so that’ll definitely be what I get next. The Midnight Lace professtional kit comes with 12 brushes, a cute holder (just like the sigma sets) and it’s $79.95.. So that makes each brush only around $6-7 so they really aren’t too expensive!
You know I’m always here to answer any questions! Thanks for reading, love 🙂
That’s awesome they addressed your concerns! Unfortunately I can’t say the same. They blew off my concerns and I will not be shopping with them again. Very disappointed with their service. I will definitely recommend Sigma over anything Sedona Lace. Sigma is a little more expensive but you get what you pay for and their customer service is absolutely SUPERB!
That is terrible! I’ve never heard of them ignoring a complaint; if it was recent, I’d try again. I got lucky and the owner read my review, but he is amazing with sending replacements when notified of any problems.
I contacted them twice; once by email, and once by their Facebook company page.. I had purchased from them in the past and was more then pleased, but kind of like you said in your previous review– what’s the point when you address a corncern and in short they say “We apologize… but tough beans!” Oh well… I guess that’s how you learn what companies are your go-to companies and who are not..le sigh.
..On a side note, love your blog and how honest you are!
How unfortunate! Yeah, stick with what works for you, for sure.. Brushes are too expensive to be unhappy with what you get.
Thank you so much! I’m so glad you enjoy it 🙂
