Hey guys! Hope you are all having a great weekend! 🙂
Yesterday I did a neutral, slight smokey eye.. My camera washes out colors pretty badly so it’s hard to tell but I used theBalm’s Meet Matt(e) palette…..
Don’t judge my lack of art skills….. 🙂
I put Matt Smith all over my lids for a base color and to make for easier blending, and also packed it on my lid after I smoked out the look.. Matt Gallagher in the crease, and also used to blend out. Matt Ramirez in the outer V to create more of a smokey look.. For highlighting under my brow bone I used W.O.S. and Venus from the Naked Basics palette, also Venus in the inner tear ducts for some brightening. I smudged a mixture of Matt Gallagher & Matt Ramirez on my bottom lash line.
I used Maybelline’s Master Precise By Eye Studio liquid pen liner in black on my top lid, Maybelline’s Master Drama By Eye Studio in Midnight Master on the top waterline. Rimmel London’s Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eyeliner in Nude for the bottom waterline.
Rimmel’s Lasting Finish lipstick in Pink Blush (006) on my lips.

Sorry this is so all over the place and there aren’t many pictures, I haven’t had much time to put together a blog post but I wanted to put something up as soon as possible.
Now, on to the mascara.. I’m huge into layering mascaras, I have naturally long lashes so I look for more volume and try to avoid clumping as much as possible.. I’m always changing it up and trying to perfect the routine, but this is my current favorite trio to use together:
Almay’s Get Up & Grow is my all-time, holy grail – can’t live without it – mascara. No matter what other mascaras I use, this is always the constant. The formula is more on the dry side, it never clumps and it gives great volume but some length as well. I use this as a base. Always.
Next, Physician’s Formula Organic Wear Jumbo Lash in Ultra Black.. I just purchased this last week but I like it a lot so far. It gives great volume and length, BUT it does smudge on me if used alone, on both the top and bottom lashes (worse on the bottom) – so I always layer this between, it’s never my final mascara.
Last, Maybelline’s Mega Plush Volume Mascara, I love this! I’m not huge on very wet formulas, so I was surprised I like this as much as I do.. But it’s definitely the brush that makes the difference. It gives great volume! I apply this one last because the brush separates the lashes well and gives that last little bit of “oomph” I need 🙂
This was just a quick application but I love this routine lately. I’m not big into wearing falsies so I love finding combinations that give me a falsies look.
Do any of you layer mascaras as well? I feel incomplete if I don’t! 🙂
Thanks for reading, I’ll try to be more organized next time!! This blogging gets more difficult when the nice weather hits 🙂

Love the nude look! My fav part is the lipstick. I wish I could get Rimmel here. xx
Thanks darling! It’s one of my favorite light pinks, Rimmel has great lipsticks.
Have you tried Beautyjoint.com? They ship international and they have a good selection of Rimmel products.
They do? I will check em out right away ❤
Oh, and check your email. I sent you something xx
Such a gorgeous look! You look very pretty 🙂 And wow, your eyelashes are stunning! I wish mine were so long (you’ve probably noticed I hardly even have lower lashes) – I’ve thought about trying lash growth mascara before, but I’ve never found one that I can believe actually works..
I haven’t been using mascara very long (maybe a year now?) but I always remember watching a girl in my regestration class at school layering on like 3 mascaras and ending up with horrible clumpy lashes every day, so I tend to only wear one at a time!
Thank you! I have heard that applying Vaseline to your lashes at night can make them grow longer & thicker.. No clue if that is true but it would at least make them stronger. I haven’t heard of a lash growth mascara that actually works, even drugstore ones are claiming that now!
LOL that would be traumatizing! If you layer the right ones, they won’t clump but it’s definitely trial and error. I have three or four away in my drawer (that rhymed 🙂 ) because I got them hearing people say how great they are for layering and they just didn’t work for me.. It’s definitely preference and everyone’s lashes are different. I’ve found that the maybelline ones seem to layer pretty well together. I like using the original Colossal & Mega Plush together.
I really love the way you did your eyeliner! Do you have a tutorial somewhere or maybe basic instructions? I can never seem to get that wing quite right; it always ends up too thick for my eyes or extends too far to my temple…
Thank you!
I don’t currently, I’ve been debating whether or not to give videos a try, or figuring out a way to do picture tutorials.
It really just takes A LOT of practice and finding a technique that works best for you. Recently I’ve found using liquid liner pens the easiest, you can sort of angle the felt tip in the direction you want the wing (typically visually line it up with the end of your brow) – lay it from your lower lash line, in the angle you want it and lightly press it down, so you’ll get a faint line that will make it easier to draw it in. I hope the way I worded that makes sense!
I’d definitely love to get into tutorials in one way or another, it’s a work in progress 🙂
Thanks! I’ll give the liquid pen a try; I’ve been working with Covergirl’s Liquiline Blast for a while now, but the constant sharpening is a real pain.
I’ll be first in line to watch/read your tutorial if you ever make one!
Yeah, sharpening is annoying! And I feel like it wastes so much product. My favorite pen liner is Maybelline’s Master Precise, the tip is great for getting that wing perfect.
Aw, thank you!! I think the only thing keeping me from really doing it is all the mean people that comment LOL
I’m just about out of my liner; maybe I’ll get the Maybelline one next!
Just delete the comments! People are unnecessarily harsh sometimes. The best thing to do is ignore them 🙂
Let me know how it works for you if you do pick it up! ❤
You are so beautiful!!!
Aww, all your comments are so sweet. You made my day! ❤
