Hey dolls! How is your week going?
So as I’ve mentioned in previous posts, Milani’s Baked Blush in Luminoso is one of my favorite blushes.. All of these shades get raved about so I was anxious to try the other colors and recently picked up Dolce Pink..
It’s stunning, right? This was my favorite out of the bunch at my CVS and I was so excited to try this out. Now, if you are unfamiliar with the Milani baked blushes, they all contain shimmer. But with Luminoso, it isn’t too much and just adds a gorgeous highlight to the cheekbones… But this one? Shimmer overload. I wanted to love this, I really did.. And I’ve heard other people say they liked it, but I put this on and felt like a 12 year old going to a school dance – it was SO sparkly.
No doubt swatched it is still an absolutely gorgeous color. I’m not denying how beautiful it is… But you can even see a lot of the shimmer in the swatches… This really just did not work for me. The shimmer was too intense.

As always, this is only my opinion and I mean no offense to anyone who may love this shade… Please comment if you do own this and enjoy it, maybe I’m missing something and applied this wrong… Or something? I’m not sure, I wish this worked for me because I love the color š¦

I think if you used a brush you could use just a small amount (it looks really pigmented) and blended that out softly. It looks like it could be a dupe for NARS’ Super Orgasm though. o.o
That was my thought too, but it was just so obnoxiously sparkly on me… Maybe it’s just my skin tone or something.

Wow yeah I agree with you on this….it definitely is wayyy too sparkly! I have two blushes from them that I think you might like. The first one is in Berry Amore and it’s this beautiful mauve with gold veining in it. This one is also shimmery, but not nearly as shimmery as the one in this blog post. And the second one is actually an illuminating power, so I think it is supposed to be used as a highlighter, but I use it as a blush. It is in the shade Hermosa Rose and it is just gorgeous. I don’t even know how to explain it so you will have to check it out for yourself haha hopefully you can check them out and let me know what you think!
I was going to get Berry Amore and chose that one instead, I guess I should have went with my gut! Thank you, I’ll take a look next time I go to the drugstore! š
