Hey dolls! Wanted to do a quick FOTD; the beautiful Stephanie of Elegant Rebel Beauty requested a look using theBalm’s Meet Matt(e) palette – Review here – so I wanted to get this up for her today! 🙂
I feel like the palette’s neutral looks are pretty easy to do, the top three neutral shades are perfect for an every day look so I wanted to go for a more smokey look. My first smokey eye with this palette and I love the way it turned out!
**Excuse the tank top, it’s SO hot today!
I did use Venus from the Naked Basics palette on the lid, I felt like it needed some shimmer on my lids rather than all matte.
First – I blended Matt Gallagher in the crease for a base color and to make the blending a bit easier.
I added a little (VERY little) bit of Matt Ramirez for some more depth.
Then I took Matt Batali and worked it into the outer V, building up the color to get the smokey look. It looks more purple in person!
To blend out the purple more I used a little bit of Matt Gallager and Matt Smith mixed together so the line wasn’t as harsh.
I used Matt Smith for my brow bone highlight. And then patted Venus (Naked Basics palette) onto my lid, going back with the purple to make sure there was still a bit on the outer part of my lid.

I forgot to add the primers and what I used on my eyebrows into this picture, but I used Elf’s Mineral Infused Face Primer and Urban Decay’s Eyeshadow Primer Potion. For my brows – NYC’s brow kit.

I think this look would be great for a night out, you can smoke this out a lot more – I did this around noon so I didn’t want to go too crazy haha
Thanks for the request Stephanie! xoxoxo
