As I’m sure all of you know, Talia Castellano passed away yesterday. Although I never got to meet her, I’m one of the MANY lives she touched by just… being her. For those of you who don’t know who she is, Talia is a BEAUTIFUL 13 year old girl who suffered from cancer the majority of her life. She’s an honorary covergirl, an amazing makeup artist and an inspiration. She was so incredibly strong and no matter how much she was going through, no matter how much pain she was feeling, she always managed to keep a smile on her face and be her silly self. Her YouTube videos are amazing, from makeup tutorials to her everyday home life and hospital vlogs.. Here is her channel if you haven’t seen it.

I don’t personally know Talia, but her story touched my heart from the day I first heard about her a few years ago.. And through YouTube, I saw her blossom and grow and succeed in so many ways. As many of you probably feel the same when it comes to some beauty vloggers, you get to know them and feel like you really do, like you’ve met them before and they are your friends. You grow connections with people who don’t even know you but they impact your life so much, and Talia is 100% one of those people.

Her strength and tenacity for life is an inspiration and I just wanted to dedicate a post to her. I think her story effects me so much because I saw my grandmother suffer from cancer for years, and it eventually took her life. I know how much pain it causes and how much strength you need, as an adult with cancer, just to live another day. And to see a child, a beautiful baby, going through that and kick cancer’s ass? – Talia seriously did – it’s just so amazing. She kept a smile on her face, kept her amazing personality and her hilarious sense of humor, and touched millions of lives.. She did SO much, from being an honorary Covergirl, being on Ellen, helping other cancer patients, starting a clothing line and soon having a makeup line, being such an amazing makeup artist, all at 13 years old… Her spirit is so incredibly beautiful and she’s truly an inspiration to everyone.

Talia touched more lives, and effected the world more than most people will living until their 90’s.. There is no understanding why such a perfect soul would be dealt cards like this, but I truly believe there is a reason for everything and if anyone was going to make such an impact, in such a short time, on so many people.. It had to be Talia. No one else could have done all that she did while dealing with cancer…. She is such a beautiful soul.

Rest in peace, Talia. No more pain babygirl.. You were an angel on earth and you’ve finally gotten your wings… You are so loved and will never be forgotten! xoxo
