“You must think that something is happening with you, that life has not forgotten you, that it holds you in its hand; it will not let you fall. Why do you want to shut out of your life any uneasiness, any miseries, or any depressions? For after all, you do not know what work these conditions are doing inside you.”

Hello beauties! How are you?
I cannot believe tomorrow is October already! Here are my favorites for the month of September!
.. And one extra favorite at the end 🙂
Yep, I admit it… I am a big video game nerd. Not as much as I was growing up of course, but GTA was always one of my favorite games so I was insanely excited for this one! And I love it, of course!
–
Loreal True Match Super-blendable compact makeup in N4 – Buff Beige – I got this deep shade to use for contouring. I thought these were powders, but they are a cream product!
It’s a very soft, and blendable cream. I use this as a base for my contouring. I’ll apply this as a contour before setting my foundation with a powder, and then create a deeper contour with NYC’s bronzer in Sunny. This stuff is great, even though it wasn’t what I thought it was. It makes my contour last even longer!
–
Jordana’s FabuBrow – this shade is in Dark Brown, but I also grabbed a few other shades for my makeup kit.
The brush on the cap isn’t the greatest, but it works okay enough if you are without a spoolie.
It does need to be sharpened – but I used mine for quite a while before I had to.
This shade is a perfect deeper brown, no red tones at all.
–
Maybelline’s Unstoppable eyeliner in Cinnabar
This is a super creamy, opaque brown. I love this for days when I don’t want a harsh black liner. It gives you some time to smoke it out if you want before it sets, and it lasts all day! Not the best staying power for the waterline, but great for on the lid and lower lash-line.
–
Two of my current favorite scents from Bath & BodyWorks.. I’m terrible at describing scents but they both smell amazing! (I’ve had Midnight Pomegranate for years, those larger bottles last me forever!)
–
And last but not least, my new hair!
It’s a work in progress, but I’m on the road to becoming a bright, vibrant red-head. I’m testing out all kinds of products but this is where I’m at currently and I love it so far!
Here is a before and after:
This color looks different in every lighting! I want it even lighter and brighter than this but so far so good!
Here are a few more views of it:
It has almost a red velvet feel to it in some lighting, which I love, but you can see in the photos above this one that it can appear much darker other times..
This last one is how I want it to look ALL THE TIME! Not just in some lighting! It’s going to be a pain but I’m determined to mix and match dyes until my heart is finally content! 🙂
If you guys want to know the entire process I’ll be going through, then just let me know and I’ll start updating you guys as I go through my bright, vibrant redhead journey! 🙂
I hope you all have a fantastic week! What are some of your September favorites?! Leave them in the comment section below!

Love your new hair! Red really suits you well. 🙂
Thank you beautiful!
Wow!Beautiful hair color!!
Thank you! 🙂
Ahhh I love your hair! Red looks great with your coloring. I can’t dye my hair (I’m allergic to hair dye!) so I’m super jealous! Oh, and I love those Jordana FabuBrow pencils; I use the light brown (but I also have the medium brown shade in my kit; I should pick up dark brown, too, since they’re so cheap!). The comb is indeed so-so, but it still comes in handy pretty often! 🙂
Thank you! Aw, that sucks! Have you tried semi or demi-permanent dyes? Or even veggie based ones? Of course they don’t last super long but it could be fun to try them out! I use semi-permanent just to keep the red refreshed since it washes out so quickly.
I was surprised at how much I loved the Jordana FabuBrow! And you cannot beat the price 🙂
Semi-permanent is actually the only dye I’ve tried, so I’m scared to try demi-permanent ones (and I’m definitely steering clear of permanent! LOL). I’m also allergic to henna, but I don’t know about veggie dyes; maybe I should do an allergy test with one of those. My natural color doesn’t bother me too much, but I’m sure at some point I’m going to want to cover greys!
Glad to know you like the FabuBrow! And btw, I was wrong in my last comment; my shade is Taupe, not Light Brown! They are great little pencils, and I swear mine lasts forever before I have to sharpen it!
I’ve heard of some pretty horrible reactions from dyes. Not really a surprise with how strong they are!
Hi, I’ve nominated your blog for the Versatile Bloggers Award, I think your blog is great and I hope you’ll accept my nomination. 🙂

Thank you very much!
what dyes have you been using? idk if you want or need suggestions, but what worked well for me was: loreal hicolor (shades red & magenta mixed) & then i would use either ones of the manic panic reds (vampire?) or even the ion semi permanent red mixed with a dab of magenta for touch ups. sounds like you’re probably doing something like that already though 🙂
Loreal Hicolor, the first time I did red and magenta but I definitely want it more red so ‘m going to do it one more time with just red. It didn’t lift enough anyways! And I have manic panic for touch ups but I want to try pravana too.
I loooove the red hair on you, that is such a gorgeous color! I was wondering if you could give me some advice abt hair color. I have super dark brown/black hair, and have been lightening it for years to a golden brown using Garnier nutrisse nutri-browns aka ultra color. I have been wanting an ombre for a while but don’t want to have to sit through multiple sessions at a salon (a bunch of different salons told me this was necessary) and pay a ton of money. So I tried doing it myself. The top was a nice dark brown, the middle was the same mediumish golden brown I usually have but the ends wouldn’t go any lighter. Any advice on how I could achieve a better ombre? Or if I wanted to do a nice red but not too extreme? I’m Indian and have medium fair skin if that helps. Thanks so much and sorry for the lengthy post!
Hey doll, thank you! I’m not a hairstylist so I always recommend going to a trusted stylist with any questions. I try to do a lot of research for my own hair so I know a bit, but not much.
The reason salons recommend multiple sessions is just to avoid doing a ton of damage to your hair. They can do an ombre in one session but your hair would take a lot of damage.
If your ends aren’t lightening, that could be from damage/split ends. Damaged ends tend to soak up color so they don’t lighten like the rest of your hair does. A trim should help if you really want to get to that point from home.
As for going red, I’ll say that red is a huge pain.. I’ve been doing it myself for quite a while now but I’m getting to the point where I’ll have to start going to a salon because red is difficult to get even.. It also fades very quickly and it takes years to build up red pigment in your hair.. Mine doesn’t fade quickly anymore but that’s because I’ve been dying red on and off for years.. If you decide to go red, just know it will be a commitment and pretty pricey, even if you do it from home! It all adds up.
Thank you so much for the comment, feel free to reply with any more questions! ❤
