Hello, my loves! Are you ready for Fall? I cannot believe it’s the end of August already!! As much as I’m not ready to say goodbye to Summer, I’m always excited for Fall trend makeup… Vampy lips, anyone? My favorite!

Kat Von D’s line is another section at Sephora that I’ll browse a little but never purchase from. A month or so back, I saw a photo on instagram of this lip stain and I just HAD to have it. This is the type of shade I absolutely love and am totally drawn to… These are liquid lipsticks that dry to a totally satin matte finish.

Bauhau5 is a deep raspberry, such a stunning shade. You can apply it in layers to deepen the color, or also slightly change the tone with a lip liner.

These are very similar to Sephora’s Cream Lip Stains, they apply as almost a mousse-like cream and dry to a total matte within less than a minute.

As with any matte lip color, especially stains like this – I highly recommend you exfoliate and moisturize your lips really well before applying. These are definitely drying, especially if your lips aren’t properly hydrated beforehand. I also had issues with this clinging to deeper lines in my lips so again, exfoliation is super important!

This shade is so beautiful! Here it is with one layer.

And here it is with three layers. You can see how much it deepens up! I also love pairing this with a dark lip liner to make it even more vampy.

The wear-time is pretty good, although the inside areas wear out when you eat anything somewhat greasy, it takes two seconds and a quick swipe to pop that color back on!

These are so similar to Sephora’s Cream Lip Stains, I can’t say that I’d purchase another but I had to own this shade. It’s just too pretty! Check out a previous post to see the Sephora lip stain in Always Red – my HOLY GRAIL red lip.
