Hello beauties! How are you? I’ve been crazy busy with work and October will be even busier! I’ll try my best to stay as consistent as possible but you guys know that doesn’t always happen with me lol thankfully after next month things should calm down and I’ll have more time to dedicate to blogging (and maybe filming?) 🙂
A few weeks ago I picked up two shades from the Milani Bella Eyes Collection, these are a”gel powder” formula and were super raved about when they were first released.
On Milani’s site:
“A gel powder – what would that even look like? We’ll tell you: It looks like rich, vibrant color that glides on in a single stroke, delivering a stunning multi-dimensional effect. What makes it a gel powder? Well, the formula starts as a gel and then is transformed by a special process into a stunning powder eyeshadow with pure color and power wear.
The unique process allows you to blend this incredibly innovative, weightless formula easily with your fingertips to light up your eyes. Even more to entice: It can be used wet or dry, resists creasing, and comes in satin matte, shimmer and iridescent metallic finishes. You just have to try this gel powder. It’s that different.”
This collection has 30 shades with finishes ranging from metallics and shimmers to satin and mattes.
The packaging is the same as their blushes, just a lot smaller! The texture on these shadows is very soft and creamy, the pigmentation is nice. Let’s check out the shades I purchased:
This is a beautiful highlight shade, with more of a glow than a shimmer. I’ve worn this twice so far and I’ve found it’s used best with a base underneath. It has pretty good pigmentation but does need to be built up a bit.
Bella Purple is another satin matte.
This shade is gorgeous. It has a beautiful sheen to it, has great pigmentation and is very blendable.
Overall I like these shadows but I must say, they don’t last nearly as long as I had hoped. Bella Ivory more so than the purple, it faded after only a few hours of wear. Of course, this could be different on another set of eyes but I don’t have very oily lids so fading isn’t a normal issue for me…. These shadows are okay but I can’t say I’d purchase more.. I’m afraid I may have fallen into the new product craze this time. They aren’t terrible, don’t get me wrong but I rarely reach for them; I’d much rather grab for shadows that will last all day and I won’t have to touch up while at work. My Instagram followers will probably know that Milani is one of my favorite drugstore brands so I was disappointed in these, especially with all the rave reviews.. Maybe I should try another application method? Let me know in the comments below if you had better luck with these!
The Milani Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eyeshadows are $3.99 each everywhere Milani is sold.
*I purchased these products with my own money. These opinions are – and ALWAYS will be – my own.*

Thank you for reading! xoxo

I bought one of these in a beautiful shimmery brown shade, but I’ve used it only once because it creased so much! I should give it another try, but as you say – I’d rather reach for shadows I know will last through an entire day.
Looks like we both fell into the YouTube hype LOL
I haven’t tried a lot of milani products but I’ve heard their blushes are the best value. Would you agree?
Absolutely. Some of the best, the pigmentation and shades are beautiful and they last all day on.
I love Milani Products as well. Too bad these shadows don’t last very long. I haven’t tried them yet but had thought about it. Great review! 🙂 xo
I love these shadows. I wear them over NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow base & they last all day for me. And I have extremely oily lids. So perhaps a good primer would help – I dunno, makeup is so personal 🙂
I wear them over a MAC paint pot.. I’m not sure. I’ve heard other people have issues with them too! 😦
