Hey beauties! I went to Ulta a few weeks ago to use my 20% off Birthday coupon and picked up a shade from Stila’s Stay All Day Liquid Lipsticks… Those of you who have been reading my blog for a while know that Sephora’s Cream Lip Stain in Always Red is one of my holy grail lip products and now whenever I see cream stains, I’m instantly drawn to them. Of course, the Sephora one is much more affordable, they just don’t have many shades to choose from so I browsed Stila’s selection and picked up the shade Patina..

These are $22 each.

It’s very creamy and smooth when you first apply, it feels almost like a mousse. There is a gloss initially and then it dries quickly down to a total matte.

It’s very true to color, with these you get what you see in the tube.

Patina is a stunning dusty rose with brown undertones. This is perfect for that 90’s lip trend. It’s absolutely stunning!

This shade looks different depending on whether you wear a lip liner underneath or not, and also depending on what shade your lips naturally are. On me, this applies totally true to color at first and then within around an hour or so, it gets maybe a shade or two darker. I love this shade for Fall and Winter, it’s so sexy!

As with most cream lip stains, they can accentuate any fine lines and also be drying, especially with prolonged wear, so always exfoliate your lips before and apply a balm underneath. These don’t bleed outside the lines but I always put a lip liner on first anyways, just to ensure I get those perfect, crisp lines. The lasting power is fantastic, if anything you may have trouble removing it at the end of the night! If you eat greasier foods while wearing this it will break it down a bit but really, the pigment is so insane that it lasts through most foods!
