Hey dolls!
Before I get into this…. I’ll start by saying that this was supposed to be sent to me in December (naturally, duh) however, after weeks of waiting, I had to contact and let them know I still had not received it. They apologized and sent it, now the beginning of January. This, I understood to a point because here in Buffalo, we were dealing with snow storms back to back and any shipping was delayed. However, once I received the box, I typed up this post and with some companies, they must approve it first.. So I sent it in for approval and it took weeks for them to (literally yesterday)…. The end of January now, and I sent another complaint, however this one never received a response from them….. I debated even posting this… 99% of you have seen this box tons of times now from bloggers/vloggers who received theirs on time… I don’t see the point. But I’m posting this just off the principle that I will at least do as promised. And I also wanted to mention how extremely disappointed I am. Although I’ve heard many good things, I would never subscribe to BoxyCharm after this issue.
Now, here is my unboxing and first impression.. This was typed up at the beginning of January so obviously my opinions have changed quite a bit…

Hello gorgeous! Subscription boxes have always been an appealing idea to me. Every month you get sent new products to try, many of the times samples but things like that are nice for those of you who aren’t out purchasing new makeup or skincare every week (like…. me….. lol).. As you’ve seen, I’m no stranger to Memebox but other than that, I haven’t personally tried any other subscription boxes. So when I got the opportunity to work with BoxyCharm, I jumped at the chance!
This was sent to me for review, no compensation whatsoever and I’d hope by now you guys know you can always trust that my opinion is 100% my own!!

*There are… Two variations of this box, I believe. In the other one I have seen, you get a different brand of mink lashes, another hair care product from Eva NYC and a lipstick from Be A Bombshell instead.
It comes with a card on top, explaining the theme of the box and on the other side is the rundown and pricing of each product.
This box comes with 5 products, 4 full size and one sample size.
–
We’ll start with the sample size first! The Eva NYC Hungry Hair Oil Treatment – $7-$12. This is a very generous size, considering hair oils last you quite a long time! You get 30mL/1.01 fl.oz of product in this bottle! I own full sizes that are close to this so I’m very happy with it for it being a sample.
“Eva NYC is a line of professional styling tools, hair care, and accessories that takes inspiration from the runways and gets salon-quality results with the use of advanced technologies and ingredients.”
I haven’t tried this yet, I have so many oils right now but I’m excited to have this! I’m also going to have my best friend, who has insanely un-tameable curly hair try this and see how it works for her as well!

Be A Bombshell is a company that you’ll find popping up in quite a few subscription boxes and they are always fantastic quality. This is the lip gloss, full size obviously and costs $14.
The shade is Spicey. It’s a bright red coral with shimmers. It’s not my type of shade but the pigmentation is fantastic!
It’s safe to say this is a more long lasting gloss! That stain wasn’t going anywhere!
–
Mistura Beauty Solutions – Retractable Beauty Brush – $19.99.
This brush is super soft and would be great to carry in your purse! It’s synthetic so you won’t have to worry about shedding. I’m impressed with the quality.

“Luxury lashes with combined durability that creates long lasting beauty. These lashes are made from real fur which is collected cruelty-free and can be worn up to 40 times. Mink material makes high-quality, soft, natural, comfortable strip lashes that are perfect for everyday wear.”
Cute packaging!! The box is amazing quality, I’ll definitely keep future lashes in this!
These lashes are…. Dramatic…. To say the least. They are huge.
The quality is fantastic. I don’t have experience with any other mink lashes (other than eyelash extensions, but that’s pretty different!) so I can’t compare them to any other brand but they feel nice and are made well, for sure.
Unfortunately I was disappointed in these, just because there’s no way I’d be able to pull them off. I have very small eyes and look ridiculous with these… I wish I hadn’t cut them to even attempt it because I could have given them to someone else. I’m sad that I can’t pull these off because the lashes were the part of this box that I was the most excited to get… 😦

The star of this box… The Coastal Scents Revealed Palette! Originally $39.95 but you can find it for around $20 more often than not!
This palette comes with 20 shades ranging from mattes to satins and metallics.
It’s fairly large, but very thin.
The idea of this palette is something similar to the Naked palettes. Neutrals of different finishes! There are definitely some dupes for Naked 1 and 2 so I’ll show you the side by side comparisons before getting into this palette!
Size wise, it’s wider but thinner and not as long. Cardboard packaging and a good size for storage.
If you’d like comparison swatches or to see dupes, let me know and I’ll do an in-depth post on that!
As for the revealed palette, you get 5 mattes and the rest are a mix of metallics and shimmer/satins.
The pigmentation is amazing, even the mattes! They are all pretty creamy, there wasn’t even one in here that disappointed.
On to the swatches! I have two in daylight and two with artificial lighting!
Daylight… How beautiful are these shades!?!
And here are the swatches in artificial lighting!
I’m so impressed by this palette. I have to admit I’ve become a bit of a snob when it comes to eyeshadow palettes and almost always go for higher-end shadows but these are amazing, especially for the price. I haven’t worn them on my eyes yet, I’m trying to give my skin a little bit of a break this week but if you’d like me to do a look or two using this, let me know!

BoxyCharm is $21 a month! This box was an $110 value.
I deleted the good portion of my review at the end, recommending this box…. Simply because of the issues I have had. I wasn’t wow’ed by this box either so that doesn’t help. As I’ve said above, I’m extremely disappointed. I was so excited to work with them and it was nothing but a let-down.

Thank you for reading! xoxo

I am so sorry that you had to wait so long! My favorite part of the box was the Revealed palette for sure. I would love to see some looks that you come up with using it. Like a tutorial post or something. 🙂 I always love the looks you come up with and wish that I could somehow recreate them. Your blog is so inspirational to me. You write so well and always have such great pictures! I really look up to you. And you’re right about the lashes. They are pretty dramatic. I feel like I would look like a camel or something lol but I will still try them for fun.Great post as always! ❤
I was definitely impressed by that palette! I hadn’t expected it to be so nice… And you just made my day! You are always so sweet and supportive, thank you so much. I love your blog is well, I’m thankful we got to “meet”! 🙂
I am just being truthful 🙂 Thank you so much! I am so glad that we got to “meet” as well! 🙂
