Hello my loves!! How are you? I’ve been doing quite a bit of shopping lately and have a collective haul to share with you today! Nothing too crazy but a few things I’ve picked up recently.
We’ll start with Lush….
I picked up Sex Bomb; it’s already in my bathroom so I forgot to add it to the photo. But that’s one of my favorite bath bombs ever! Also got a sample of the moisturizer Celestial and the Aqua Marina Cleanser..
–
Aqua Marina is the most bizarre cleanser ever, right?! The description says, “Our squishy pink cleanser, inspired by mermaids. Contains calamine, aloe and mineral-rich seaweed to soothe sensitive skin.”
This contains calamine powder, kaolin, Irish moss gel, aloe vera gel, sea salt, nori seaweed, sweet wild orange oil, patchouli oil, carrageenan extract as well as a few other ingredients.
When I spoke with one of the Lush employees, I asked for a cleanser for those with sensitive skin and this was what she recommended. If you’d like a review on this, let me know! I’m currently testing it out.
Let’s chat about Ulta next!
The first item I picked up from Ulta was Laura Geller’s Gilded Honey. I’ve heard so many rave reviews about this and I don’t own a gold highlighter so I just had to try it!
Honestly, I don’t know how I feel about this yet. When applied with your fingers (as swatched above) it is absolutely beautiful and pigmented. But when I try to apply this with a brush – I’ve experimented with many different kinds – it always ends up looking chunky and nowhere near as pigmented… It’s not very creamy to the touch and although applying with my fingers isn’t necessarily a deal-breaker, I prefer to apply my highlighters with a brush… I’ll have to play with this some more before I decide whether I like it or not. It’s a beautiful shade though.
–
The reason I went into Ulta. Batiste dry shampoo! This is my favorite brand for dry shampoos and I hadn’t tried this coconut scent yet…. Not a fan of the smell but it works just as well as any other in the line.
–
I also picked up a new brow wiz. I ran out of Taupe and wanted to try a shade darker so I grabbed Chocolate and I’ve been loving it!
It’s a warmer toned shade and it looks nice with my red hair.
–
A little bit of an impulse buy, Too Faced’s Born This Way foundation.. I’ve heard people raving about this recently and although I really didn’t need another foundation, I just had to try it.
I picked up the shade Vanilla and it’s extremely yellow-toned so I’m not sure how this will work for me. I’ll be testing this out for sure!
–
Next…. SEPHORA! Aka, Heaven 🙂
I finally got my hands on Urban Decay’s Moondust Eyeshadow in Solstice!!!! I absolutely love the packaging on these single eyeshadows.
This is a duo chrome shadow with a lot of shine and glitter. It’s purple, blue, green, pink…. So unique and gorgeous!
The left swatch is dry and the right is using Smashbox’s Primer Water.
–
Laura Mercier’s Translucent Setting Powder…. Are you sick of hearing about this yet?! It has become so popular all over again so I had to give it a try. I picked up the little travel size that’s in the check-out section.
It’s a nice setting powder… Do I think it’s worth the hype or the huge price tag? Ehhhh, I’m not sure. I’ve used drugstore powders that work just as well as this and my beloved Coty Airspun powder brightens more than this does. I need to play with it more before I can give a total review!
–
Is there anything more beautiful than a new Beauty Blender?! I needed a new one SO badly! I had mine for over a year so it was about time. It was painful to dirty this beautiful pink sponge!! LOVE Beauty Blenders and totally think they are worth every penny.
–
Last but not least, I picked up a travel size of the Smashbox Photo Finish Pore Minimizing Primer. I was running out of primers and after hearing good reviews about this, I figured I’d give it a try.
It’s very similar to the porefessional and so far I like it. It’s definitely not holy grail status but it’s a nice primer.

Thank you for reading! xoxo.

The Born This Way color selection just seems off to me. I do enjoy it a lot, but only for outings under the 5-6 hour mark. At that point it breaks up on my skin pretty badly. Up until that point it’s flawless though.

Hi! Im wondering how well the guilded honey hilighter would work wet. You should give it a try 😉 -krystal
Ooooh that moondust eye-shadow looks amazing!!!!! Beautiful haul!!
Great haul! I have a smaller size of the Laura Mercier setting powder that I haven’t used yet. I got from Birchbox but I really need to try it out! It also came with a cute little fan brush. I would love to hear your thoughts on the Born This Way Foundation. That does look pretty yellow! Maybe you can return it for a different shade? I love seeing hauls! Thanks for sharing! I hope you’re having a great week! ❤ xo
The setting powder is VERY drying on my skin! I’ve never heard of any complaints from that before but it feels like it instantly sucks all the moisture right out of me!
Oh really? I always hear good things about it. Wow! I haven’t tried it yet lol. 🙂
