Hey dolls! Milani’s new Spring 2014 line is starting to pop up in stores and I cannot even tell you how excited I am! In my opinion, Milani has the best lip products in the drugstore, hands down. The lipsticks are absolutely fantastic, just as good as any high end! This line has new shades of the Color Statement line, new glosses, an invisible/reverse lip liner, lip stains, and liquid lip colors (as well as some brow products, I’m testing one out now).. I plan to grab a lot more but for now I only picked up one shade of these new Lip Intense Liquid Color lippies.

These are really a unique product at the drugstore… The claim is above, a heavily pigmented high shine “gloss” with the longevity of a lipstick… Sounds intriguing, right?

I love the packaging! Sleek and very unique.

The shade I picked up is Violet Addict. There are 3 other shades in this range, a bright pink, coral, and a red! (You already know I’m getting that red next 🙂 )

The applicator is fantastic. Rounded at the end so it makes it really easy to get a precise application.

The texture of this is similar to a cream lip stain (although it does not claim to be a stain).. It’s a thicker consistency than a gloss, very creamy and insanely pigmented. Although it’s thick, it does not feel heavy once on the lips… Actually the opposite.. I forget I’m even wearing it – it’s that lightweight! And it’s not drying at all!!

Sigh…. Can we just have a moment of silence for how GORGEOUS this color is?!

Okay, seriously? I’m in love. Violet Addict is a pinky purple, depending what lighting you are in.. Sometimes it pulled more pink, other times it looked purple. I almost didn’t get this shade because purples usually wash me out, but this color will look beautiful on anyone! It’s so flattering on any skin tone!!

* It does recommend that you use Milani’s Anti-feathering lip liner but I used just one of my Jordana lip liners and had absolutely no problem with feathering. I do think if you wore it alone you may have an issue so just throw a lip liner on first! 🙂

It applies very glossy and shiny and within a few hours, becomes more of a matte.. A quick reapplication will bring that gorgeous shine right back.

The feel, the texture, the color…… The longevity? Let’s see!

Here is after eating greasy pizza… It does wear down more on the inside of the lips, so you’ll definitely need to reapply throughout the day. But the outsides of my lips looked like when I first applied this.

I put this through quite the test, I wore this out for UFC night… To Buffalo Wild Wings (lots of appetizers and drinks)… And I only reapplied once! I wore this for over 6 hours, easy.

Like I said, you’ll definitely need to reapply – there are no claims this is a stain but the claims that it has the longevity of a lipstick? … This lasts better than any of my lipsticks!

I absolutely love this. I was floored when I first put it on, just at the feel and color and I was just as impressed by the end of the night. I think this will for sure be my go-to color for Spring & Summer this year! I plan to pick up the other shades of these because the formulation is amazing. It’s not easy to find something that lasts this long, that doesn’t dry out your lips and that really feels like you have nothing on.

Home run, Milani!!! You never disappoint!
